Insurance Information
Tropicana requires applicable individual insurance coverage for unit owners and renters. Florida condominium law separately governs the insurance responsibilities of the Association and unit owners.
Unit Owners
Owners Insurance
Every unit owner is required to maintain appropriate condominium-unit insurance for each unit, commonly referred to as an HO-6 policy or equivalent coverage.
Individual coverage may help protect personal property, interior improvements, personal liability, loss assessment exposure, temporary living expenses, and other risks that are not covered by the Association's master policy.
Residents / Tenants
Renters Insurance
Residents who rent are required to maintain renters insurance for each occupied unit for their personal belongings and personal liability.
The Association's insurance and the unit owner's insurance should not be assumed to cover a tenant's personal property, relocation costs, or personal liability.
